Noema’s Computer Vision Applications give you real-time data & insights to make your factory, refinery or manufacturing facility safer, more efficient and more cost-effective.
In our 3rd installment of the video series ‘Changing the World with Computer Vision” Noema VP of Engineering, Bruno Oliveira, dives into how Computer Vision and AI are making factories and industrial sites smarter and safer.
The following is a transcript of the video:
“There's this concept of smart factories where they are already applying AI, computer vision, because with a single camera they can do all sorts of things. They would need a lot of sensors to do like fire detection, smoke detection on premise, snow detection, and they can do all that with a single camera, intruder alarm, license plate recognition. So we're doing all sorts of things for smart factories, emergency detection, not only natural disasters like flooding.
Big snow storms which can cause harm to the infrastructure, but also to the personnel. We can detect all sorts of situations like fall detection. So not only for the infrastructure, but also for personnel safety. If something happens in a factory, human error, some machine fails, things can escalate very quickly and they can put a lot of workers in danger. And one thing we are doing is to detect those events with computer vision and AI and help preventing these things from happening and harming people.”
